Wireless Systems Installer

Job Summary: 

The Wireless Installer is responsible for the installation of broadband Internet equipment for residential and business subscribers and will work with other installers, or independently, as directed. The Wireless Installer will be required to work on distribution systems involving customer houses and building roofs to provide customer support, system maintenance, and inventory duties for the department.

Job Duties:

• Prepares and installs wireless Internet connectivity equipment for service subscribers, including routers, associated hardware, Consumer Premises Units or Subscriber Modules, and cabling.

• Performs duties of an Aristotle services representative to subscribers by obtaining client signatures on required agreements, installation approvals, and work completion sign-off forms.

• Reports problems or subscriber concerns to management as soon as practical and offers on-site analysis of issues to management that will facility resolution.

• Ensures subscriber documentation properly delivered to management.

• Prepares reports and assists with maintaining accurate client information in system databases to include data input.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

• Previous construction or Installation knowledge preferred.
  
  
• Prefer knowledge of wireless or satellite routers including their setup, routing requirements, IP transit, and of radio principals - but not required.
  
  
• Works well with hand tools.
  
  
• Works well on a team and independently.

Experience:

• Internet or Satellite Installation: 1 year (Preferred)

Required License/Certification:

• Valid Driver's License

Work Location:

Tower Tech II

• Observes and practices all tower climbing safety rules and best practices and reports.
• Climbs to various heights on multiple type structures.
• Performs installation of antennas, mounts, cable ladders, cable, etc.
• Assists with and performs communications equipment testing on site, AUC warehouse, or other misc. field conditions.
• Participates in new tower construction and existing tower maintenance.
• Assists in trouble-shooting a variety of electronic components from Broadband/cell/microwave sites, including lighting systems.
• Maintains a professional working attitude with co-workers and customers.
• Continues to engage in industry education and knowledge on an ongoing basis.
• Upholds quality workmanship surpassing industry standards.
• Learns and comprehends OSHA laws and also industry practice standards.
• Must be willing to travel and be able to work within a non-structured schedule, i.e., long hours, weekends, on call, etc.
• May be required to work in adverse weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, wind.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position that may be a maximum of 500 feet with typical heights of less than 150 feet.
• Must lift, carry, and maneuver heavy or awkward objects weighing 50lbs or more.
• Travels daily within the Company’s geographical footprint and may be required to outside of AUC’s normal work area. Travel time can be anywhere from one day to 2 weeks at a time, with appropriate breaks. All expenses are reimbursed in accordance with the Employee Handbook.
• Uses hand and power tools effectively and efficiently.
• Reads and observes rules established by AUC as described in the Employee Handbook.

• Reliable transportation to and from office location and holds and maintains an Arkansas State issued current and valid driver's license
• Self-motivated and able to learn efficiently
• Team oriented
• General tower and fall protection knowledge and ability to utilize 100% tie-off techniques at all times
• Electrical and electronic systems knowledge to include new and repair installations.

• Computer skills
• Electrical/electronic skills may be acquired by OJT for applicants lacking this knowledge.
• Basic Rigging training is a plus but can be AUC certified.

• High school graduate or GED. Work experience of 4-years in lieu of HS graduation.
• Computer knowledgeable and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 or 11 preferred.

Job Duties:

• Visit residential neighborhoods to introduce potential customers to Aristotle’s internet services and sell customers on internet services and other upgrades: doorbell and security cameras, VoIP internet phones, back-up connections, and more.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with communities, organizations, and businesses within your assigned territory.
• Actively prospect and follow up to consistently surpass sales goals.
• Record and track sales activities daily in a CRM system.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

• You have at least six (6) months of experience in inbound sales, door-to-door sales, or a related sales/customer service role (experience in telecom or internet sales is a plus).
• You have strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Goal-driven, self-motivated D2D sales professional with a "hunter" mentality and a passion for customer service.
• You can work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment year-round.

Additional Job Requirements:

• You have a valid driver's license.
• You can travel for at least 4 days at a time.
• Must have the ability to be added to company auto insurance.

Job Type:
